Dwight David Eisenhower, 34th American President, said the following words:

In preparing for battle I have always found that plans are useless, but planning is indispensable.

This is very true for me — the value is not in the plan itself, but in the knowledge you gain while making the plan.

A friend of mine told me about an adage named “the 7 Ps”. Apparently, it originates from the British Army. It suggests simply that you should plan properly or face the consequences.
